Description

Rugoso is a highly acclaimed, fine flavour cacao variety primarily grown in the San José de Bocay and Nueva Guinea regions of Nicaragua. It is named for its distinctly rough (rugoso) pod texture and celebrated for its intense, complex tasting profile. The production of Rugoso cacao in Nicaragua creates a powerful and positive social impact for local farming communities. By shifting from low-value mass cocoa to premium, fine-flavor cacao, organizations like ⁠Ingemann Cacao have transformed the lives of thousands of smallholder farmers.
This chocolate was ground for up to 36 hours in a stone grinder, then left to rest for a few weeks. It is then tempered and made into bars. As with most of our bars, it is a limited edition.
INGREDIENTS: Cocoa beans, cocoa butter, whole milk powder, sugar.
Made in an area that contains allergens. Contains MILK.
