And there it is… the 100% cocoa bean to bar chocolate – this one is definitely not for the faint hearted!
100% pure chocolate is an amazing addition to savoury dishes (think of that final addition to a chili con carne, or a small amount melted into a homemade red wine sauce, or a smidge grated into a pine nut pesto….😋). I love to grate a chunk of it into my porridge, you only need a small amount to make it so chocolatey and creamy. It can of course be eaten as it is but I would recommend in teeny amounts as it is of course quite intense.
This chocolate is made with Venezuelan cocoa beans Carenero Superior, which are sourced from farms located on the north-central coast of Venezuela. The production areas include Caucagua, Panarique, El Clavo, El Jovito, Tacarigua, Rio Chico and Carenero.
Ingredients: Cocoa beans (venezuela carenero region – carenero superior), 1% cocao butter (dominican republic oko caribe).
Allergy Information: Made in and area where allergens are present. . May contain traces of allergens (nuts, gluten, milk).
All chocolate at Faraway Garden is handmade in teeny tiny batches in Hellevoetsluis, South Holland. Once I receive the cocoa beans I roast, winnow and conch them. It’s a complex process which I’d be happy to explain to you on market days so please pop by for a chat you are most welcome!
